Axial Dynamic Load Carrying Capacity-Cylindrical Roller Bearings

LYC’s cylindrical roller bearings with designed flanges on inner and outer ring can carry not only radial load but also a certain amount of axial loads. The axial load carrying capacity mainly depends on the form of interface between roller end face and flange, lubricating conditions, and heat dissipation, etc.

Based on the following supposed conditions, the permissible axial load can be calculated from

Where

Fmin - Max permissible axial load, kN

C0 - Basic static load rating, kN

Fr - Actual radial load, kN

n - Speed, r/min

d(D)- Bearing inner diameter(outer diameter), mm

k1 - Factor, oil lubricating is 1.5, grease lubricating 0.5

k2 - Factor, oil lubricating is 0.3, grease lubricating 0.15

When axes angular error between inner ring and outer ring exceed 1', the load carrying capacity on the flange shall be changed extremely. In that case, safe coefficient as above may not be suitable. In this case, please consult LYC technical department.

To ensure cylindrical roller bearing is working in good condition under axial loads, especially heavy axial loads, LYC technical department suggests to notice the following several points:

·Internal radial clearance should be controlled within the required range, and small clearance is preferred to big.

·Please use lubricant with extreme pressure additive.

In order to prevent flange from fractured, the fixed force and axial loading(Fa)

loaded on bearing, LYC technical department suggest that the values should not be exceeded the following values:

Dimension 2 series, Fa < 0.0013D1.5 (D Bearing outer diameter㎜) KN

For the temporary axial force(Fa),we suggest that not exceed the following values:

Dimension 2 series bearings,Fa < 0.0045D1.5 (D Bearing Outer Diameter㎜) KN

Other dimension series bearings,Fa < 0.007 D1.7(D Bearing Outer Diameter㎜) KN

When single row cylindrical roller bearing bears a large axial load, the flange should be brought under uniform load and reaches a certain rotating accuracy, block the size of the shoulder and the axial runout should meet certain requirements.

For related retaining shoulder axial runout precision parts, can be seen in "bearing application". The diameter size of the hole shoulder (see figure 1), one side of inner ring has no flange, LYC's technical department suggested that height is half of the flange height, on the one side of inner ring with flange, you can use the following formula to calculate the diameter of the shaft shoulder:

da = 0.5(d1+F)

F - Inner raceway diameter,㎜

When the axis of the inner ring and outer ring Angle error more than 1 ', loadings forced on flange will change a lot. Above the reference value of safety factor may not be applied .In this case, please consult LYC's technical department.

In order to ensure the cylindrical roller bearing axial load, especially under high axial load can still work normally, LYC's technology department remind you to draw attention to the following:

Internal radial clearance, bearing should be controlled within the required range, and should be small not big.

The lubricant should contain extreme pressure additives.·
